Essentially the board will be held accountable for ensuring children & adults at risk in the organisations care receive high quality, evidence-based care & personalised safeguarding. This course covers all the essentials for Board and Trustee member Safeguarding requirements

The Combined First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid Course is ideal for those who work in settings that require both first aiders and paediatric first aiders, such as schools, sports clubs or other childcare settings.

Combining the QA Level 3 Award in First Aid
at Work (RQF) and the QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) into 3 extended days of classroom learning, this specially designed course enables candidates to gain the skills and knowledge needed to provide both adult and paediatric first aid, whilst minimising the number of training days required to achieve both qualifications.

Candidates will cover a range of topics needed to provide effective first aid for adults, children and infants including CPR and defibrillation, choking, stroke, head injuries, asthma and much more.

The course aims to raise awareness around mental health and wellbeing in order to:

• Know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace,
• Develop an understanding of what types of mental health conditions there are, 
• Suicide prevention strategies     
• Recognise how to develop own emotional resilience for good mental health.

The session will include a set of presentation slides to emphasise key points but will also provide the opportunity for discussion

Learning Objectives

1. Develop an understanding of Dissociative Identity Disorder, including its symptoms, causes, and treatment options.
2. Identify the challenges faced by individuals with DID and strategies for providing effective support.
3. Foster empathy and reduce stigma surrounding DID.

Management of people who may be in crisis, including those who have suffered recent loss and who are receiving bad news requires a particular skill set to ensure that safety and security are paramount.

This programme enables participants to understand what makes for a good professional relationship, how to deal with potentially difficult situations and diffuse them, and how to take care of themselves.

This is a 7 day programme which can be broken down into separate days if required
