- Consent in relation to children and 16 & 17-year-olds
- How drugs work on the body
- How body absorbs and excretes the drugs
- Outline a range of common medications used for children, their form and route for administration.
- How to comply with good practice to safely store medication.
- The safe administration of medication
- How to monitor for side effects
- Understand the action to be taken if severe reaction suspected
- Complete a Medication Administered Record
- Understanding of the Supply, storage and disposal of medicines;
- The course Follows The 10 Rights of Medications Administration
