Environmental Health & Safety and wellbeing

Situational awareness in prisons and healthcare is paramount to the safety of staff and prisoners. Having an understanding of workplace surroundings and the working environment allows staff to be healthy and safe within their roles.

Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 is the duty of all employees to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others at work. By undertaking environmental awareness training and working with key departments such as Health and Safety, Estates and Facilities and Human Resources, staff are able to actively contribute to the health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.

This course is for delegated staff who require environmental awareness training in prisons including healthcare settings. These people will be trained to understand key environmental issues within their workplace.
